Overrated!

The overrated coffee drink! Seriously?! Is it required to take a photo of your drink at Starbucks?

The overrated spread. I don't get the hype?! Or probably I'm just not a huge fan of chocolates.

But lately, this is slowly taking over. I have yet to try this.

The overrated hat! The Fedora!

And the king of Fedora himself, Bruno Mars.

The overrated accessory, the armcandy. Do you really have to wear all your bracelets all at the same time?

If I were to wear one, it will be something a lot simplier like this.

The overrated bag, the classic Longchamp design. Everyone has it, be it original or fake. I do like the limited edition designs though.

The overrated selfie shot, the bathroom selfie. Even I am guilty of this!

The overrated beach destination in the Philippines, Boracay! I know Boracay is almost paradise but c'mon people, we have more than 7,000 islands in the country.

The overrated dog, the shitz tzu.

Awwww.....but I just can't hate that face. Too cute!

What do you think of my list? If you have anything to add let me know. :)

A Different Look

via Instagram http://instagram.com/p/alGveOw-Fi/

This is my alter-ego. LOL! This look is so different to me because I usually have my bangs covering my forehead because I hate my hairline! Plus I always smile when taking a photo and I don't really wear eye glasses.

I've seen this pout look all over Instagram and thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, it's not for me! This will be the last time you will see this look ever again!

12 ways of celebrating Philippines Independence Day

June 12,  2013 marks 115 years of Philippines Independence from Spain. Here are 12 ways on how to celebrate this eventful day in your own little way.

1. Place a flag of the Philippines on your front door, window or on your car.

2. Wear something Blue, Red, Yellow and White.

3. Why stick to clothes? Nail art is in, try painting your nails with the colors of the Philippines flag or the flag of the Philippines itself. Be creative!

4. Wake-up really early or sleep really late to catch the National Anthem being aired on TV or the radio and really listen to the lyrics.

5. Google the words to Panatang Makabayan. There is a new version of it now if you don't know.

6. Eat traditional Filipino cuisine all day. Filipino food has a lot to offer! Forget about your diet today!

7. Visit the National Museum of the Philippines. National Museum of the Philippines website

8. Since school is out on this day, join a tour of Intramuros / The Walled City.

9. Attend a local concert showcasing Filipino talents in your area.

10. If a concert is not your thing, host a dinner party and play Pinoy Henyo and use the Philippines history as a topic. This will also help you brush-up on your history.

11. If you're into sports or games, enjoy a competitive pinoy games marathon with your friends such as sungka, piko, luksong baka, trumpo and feel like a child again. Check out this video clip from RPG Metanoia -  Balik Tanaw Sa Larong Atin

12. Just simply be proud that you're a Filipino.

Glitz and Sparkles

Who doesn't want good manicured nails?! Some goes for the neutral look, some likes the classy french tip, some go crazy for nail art, for those who wants to splurge go for the gel nails. But for me, I've always liked glittered nails. It's sparkly, girly, shiny, and it feels like Christmas! So, when I found these glittered polish at The Face Shop last week, I got so excited and I just have to post it here!

It's only 300php for one whole set. Although, the bottle is quite small, I think the price is reasonable since you're getting 3 colors. You can also buy every set and go crazy switching colors.

Tell me what's your favorite!

Song of the day: This Is What Makes Us Girls - Lana Del Ray

Want some chill music with a 60's feel? Listen to Lana Del Ray. Her voice is a little annoying because it sounds a little forced but at the same time it's catchy and I kinda like it. I don't know, I think I have a love and hate relationship with her.

Here it is for your listening pleasure.

Defining Small Spaces

I do not have a degree in Interior Design but based on what I've seen and observed, when trying to design for a small space, avoid using dividers. This just occupies a huge space in your house. Here are some tips that you may use to define small spaces.

1. Paint. Try using a different color of paint for each space which of course should still compliment the other areas of the house. Keep it in the same color palette to make the room still look flowy.

2. Magic Carpet. Do not underestimate the use of the carpet. Aside from adding warmth and coziness to a room,  it can also help define each space. Plus, there are a lot of patterns to choose from based on your personality. So go nuts!

3. Mirror mirror on the wall. This trick is not only used by magicians anymore to deceive people. It is also used by designers when trying to make a small space look bigger. Viola!

4. Lighting. Proper lighting is one of the easiest way to define each space. There are so many styles to choose from. You can use a lamp, a small chandelier, spotlight or a hanging light fixture.

 5. Make your cabinets work for you. Cabinets are not only used as cabinets anymore! You can modify you cabinet and make it look like your office space. Plus, once your done and too tired to clean everything up, you can just close it and clutter is nowhere to be seen.

6. Clutter Free. It doesn't matter if you have a small or a big place, clutter is a big no no! Not only it is a big stress to OCD's like me, it makes your area look a lot smaller than it already is. Having clothes and shoes all over your living room just makes your living room looks like your bedroom. Having books and computer in your dining area makes your dining room look like your office. It is best to have a place to keep all of them in an organized way.
